Together with Google’s Made with Code initiative and Warner Brothers, we created a new project to coincide with the premiere of the 2017 Wonder Woman film. Presented by lead actress, Gal Gadot, the project was launched to encourage girls to begin coding inspired by the empowering female character.
Using Google’s Blockly coding language, the user is challenged to take Diana through three levels on her journey to becoming Wonder Woman. The three levels introduce coding concepts such as sequences, variables and conditionals, each successfully completed exercise rewarded the player with clips from the feature film.
Producer Amalie Englesson said “It’s always exciting working with Made With Code. They exist because increasingly more aspects of our lives are powered by technology, yet women aren’t represented in the roles that make that happen. Projects like this inspire teen girls to see what code can do for them and so hopefully we're starting to change that. This kind of work feels important".
