Rupert Höller

Waterside winking with Leyya, getting hands-on for Mynth and leaning in for Lea Santee…

Rupert Höller was 14 when he started playing with cameras and developing his style and passion for ever-so-slightly twisting reality. Limited resources saw Rupert focus on digital trickery to maximise the effect and scale of his projects, a tactic which eventually caught the eye of musician friends Mynth for whom he shot the artful ‘Smog’ in Spain. Films for Lea Santee and Leyya, which won him a UK MVA, followed, both featuring Rupert’s bright and bold aesthetic and inviting the viewer to question what is real and what isn’t.
