Enhance, Not Overwhelm
While developing the experience, we focused on amplifying each original filmmaker’s intent, not competing with the film. As storytellers ourselves, we were uniquely suited to understand the filmmakers’ intent and combine creative vision with technical expertise to meet both the creative and technical challenges of the project.

A New Storytelling Grammar
This project offered a unique opportunity to experiment and expand our storytelling toolkit and engage audiences in ways unique to this format. One standout moment happens when the screen itself surges toward the viewer at a pivotal moment – a restrained yet revolutionary gesture that redefines cinematic presence, doing something no traditional screen could.
Into the Shadows
Creating consistency between viewing experiences with countless variables in room size, position, and light levels was a massive challenge. Passthrough dimming, a process by which we control ambient light, was key in managing these variables to ensure a consistent experience between users no matter their environment.

Visual Consistency
The spatial effects were seen alongside the film’s visuals, meaning any mismatch would be immediately obvious. For this reason, fidelity was critical but this level of precision came with a heavy technical demands. To meet these demands we developed a second stream specifically for the spatial effects, alongside the first stream for the film content.
