You’d be hard-pressed to find a Nexus Studios project without at least a touch of VFX. From creating iconic characters and cinematic landscapes, to subtle additions or a bit of clean-up – VFX can come in many different forms. But, the perennial curse of good visual effects is that when they’re truly great, they become unnoticeable. For this reason, and many more, the artists behind this crucial step in modern film production often don’t get the recognition they deserve.

To remedy this, on December 8th, a coalition of studios from around the world are coming together for the inaugural World VFX Day. Through a live-stream and events throughout the world, we’ll celebrate the contributions of members at every level of the VFX pipeline and at every stage of their careers.

The livestream, hosted here,  will run for 11 hours from 8am to 7pm GMT. Tune in to catch short talks, interviews, tutorials and more from studios around the world. In-person events have also been confirmed in New York and Munich.
