An unmissable date in the animation industry calendar, Nexus Studios is proudly returning to Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market. As part of the Talent Panels, we’ve been invited to host a session on our groundbreaking series for Room to Read, She Creates Change.

In the panel titled ‘She Creates Change: A Global Tapestry of Stories Woven by Women Directors’, producer Electra Fotopoulou invites animation directors Hannah Lau-Walker, Prashanti Aswani and Claudia Chinyere Akole to discuss this unique project and the ins-and-outs of its production, weighing in both creatively and practically. Produced by Nexus Studios for global charity Room to Read and directed by Martha Adams, the series mixes live-action documentary and animation to tell the stories of six girls who use life skills such as empathy and perseverance to overcome obstacles and transform their lives. It premiered on Warner Bros. Discovery channels in celebration of International Women’s Day this year.
