We’re thrilled to announce that Siqi’s Song short from the She Creates Change series, ‘Dewmini,’ has been recognised by Manchester Animation Festival and won the Short Films for Children category.

She Creates Change is a six-part mixed-media docu-series created by Nexus Studios for Room to Read. Each episode champions another inspiring story of a girl who participated in one of Room to Read’s programs. ‘Dewmini’, Siqi’s episode, tells the story of the eponymous protagonist in her home in rural Sri Lanka as she struggles to find a way to cope with food scarcity brought on by drought.
