Trailblazing Moments in Music
This summer we’ve jumped through kaleidoscopic worlds for ABBA, taken flight with Tom Odell, and treated Gorillaz to a new look. To celebrate launching projects for some of the biggest names in the music industry, we’re looking back on some of our favourite promos and interactive experiences to date.
Gorillaz – Cracker Island ft. Thundercat by Jamie Hewlett and Fx Goby
Directed by artist and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett and our very own Fx Goby, we teamed up with 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel to create the psychedelic video for their track ‘Cracker Island’ ft. Thundercat. Ringing in a new dawn for the BRIT and Grammy-winning virtual band, with their new direction comes a new look as they appear in super stylised 3D.

ABBA – Eagle and Voulez-Vous by Shynola
Directing trio Shynola were handpicked by the creators of the ground-breaking ABBA Voyage show to craft two short films for the tracks ‘Eagle’ and ‘Voulez-Vous’. The beautifully kaleidoscopic and painterly animations chronicle the tale of Rora, a valiant hero on a quest to find the legend of ABBA.

Billie Eilish – Not My Responsibility by Robertino Zambrano
Interrogating notions of body image, gender representation and objectification, Robertino Zambrano worked closely with Billie Eilish and her team to create an animated accompaniment to her spoken word piece. As part of the Grammy-nominated concert special, ‘Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles’.

Google Pixel – Childish Gambino AR
Thrilled to be part of the Cannes Lions-winning campaign, we brought the animated Childish Gambino to life. Collaborating with Google to capture the likeness and signature style of the recording artist, our Gambino AR reacts in real time and can even reproduce his iconic dance moves.
