Nexus Studios is excited to announce the signing of award-winning director and animator Hannah Lau-Walker for commercial representation. Hannah brings an ability to infuse charm, humour and warmth into her work. Her work with clients like Room to Read and TED-Ed has showcased her strong art direction and animation expertise, as well as her versatility in tackling diverse subjects.

Highly collaborative and endlessly inventive, Hannah’s work has won her recognition from commercial clients, from awards like Depict British Award, and nominations from the likes of London Short Film Festival and the British Animation Awards.

We’ve already had the pleasure of working with Hannah on various projects in the past — these include “Trang”, her contribution to Room to Read’s “She Creates Change” as well as her short film “Boobs”, a film featuring original ‘boob art’ from illustrators around the world — and can’t wait to share two more high-profile projects, currently in production, which will launch later this month.

Hannah is equally passionate about fostering diversity and growth within the animation industry. As a founder of She Drew That, she leads initiatives to mentor, support, and empower women in animation through workshops, residencies, and community-driven projects. Her advocacy for inclusivity and innovation extends to her work as a speaker and participant in prestigious festivals, including Raindance, and Annecy.

Co-Founder and CCO, Chris O’Reilly on the announcement: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Hannah over the past few years, and we’re beyond excited to officially welcome her to the Nexus Studios roster of directing talent. She’s a true creative force—an imaginative storyteller and a natural leader in collaborative projects. Hannah is shaping the animation industry on and off the screen, and the kind of exceptional talent that we are proud to champion.”
