Bottersnikes and Gumbles
Stuck in the middle of nowhere live two warring tribes of bizarre bush creatures – the impossibly lazy, ugly and foul-tempered Bottersnikes, and the hyperactive, cute and optimistic Gumbles.
Although they live side by side they couldn’t be more different: Gumbles are furry and stretch or squash their bodies into any shape they like, while Bottersnikes are scaly and fat, with ears that glow red when they’re angry (which is most of the time). Gumbles are fun-loving thrill-seekers who invent their own extreme sports, while grouchy Bottersnikes spend most of their days snoozing in rubbish dumps, or making a mess for somebody else to clean up.
‘Bottersnikes and Gumbles’ was a highly successful book series, first published in the 1970s, which Mighty Nice have now brought to life in animation.
