From martial arts to musical farts, we made coding fun for kids with Patch!
In collaboration with Telstra Foundation, +61, and Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, Nexus Studios launched Codemates: a playful, hands-on way for kids to learn to code. At the heart of the experience is Patch, a furry blue animatronic puppet whose moves, sounds, and silly antics can be programmed in real time. Jump in at codemates.fun
To bring Patch to life, kids use a custom-built Scratch interface from which they can code antics for Patch to perform. Whether through a 3D avatar or a real-life animatronic puppet, they watch their code come to life right before their eyes with silly dances, burps and farts and even some sick martial arts moves!
