There are games and prizes galore as EE Game Day 2024 takes over the UK once again. We teamed up with Havas Play for the second year, pulling out all the stops to create gaming experiences in Fortnite, on TikTok, mobile as well as location specific AR. For 24 hours, we helped turn the UK into the world’s biggest gaming arcade.

The day saw iconic locations like Brighton Pier and Wembley Stadium turn into gaming playgrounds, and some of gaming’s biggest names – Sidemen’s Josh, Tobi and Ethan – play alongside fans in a multi-level, custom-made Fortnite island. Director Mike Anderson helped set the tone with this trailer released in the run-up to the event.

Fortnite Island

Kicking off at 5pm, Josh, Tobi and Ethan from Sidemen are hosting a Twitch livestream to reveal and then play a custom Fortnite island. Across a series of action-packed mini-games, fans are invited to play alongside these legends in the gaming community. It’s all about testing your reflexes in the Tile Tower, spawn inside Wembley Stadium and dominate the field in Foosball Frenzy, and see if you can keep your cool in High Street Hop. Collect enough points and redeem them for a chance to win thousands of prizes.

Brighton Pier’s ‘Gull Bop’

We’ve transformed Brighton Pier into the EE Gull Bop. This AR game builds on the structure’s iconic architecture and brings to life a Whac-A-Mole inspired experience. After scanning a QR code, users point their phone towards the pier and start bopping gulls to rack up points.

Tiktok Effects

Tap on over to TikTok and search ‘EE Game Day’ in TikTok Effects to discover Moonshot Mission. Just tilt your head to control the loveable robot and collect enough batteries to power your rocket to launch.

Endless Runners

Find yourself an EE Billboard or Store to scan a QR code and access two bespoke endless runner games. EE Wembley Goal Run brings you into the iconic stadium as you dribble down the pitch, dodging oncoming opponents before smashing the ball into the back of the net. Or try you hand at EE Cross Country Run where you run through the four British nations avoiding obstacles along the way.
