Countdown
Nicolas’ beautifully animated countdown kicked off the 2018 Google IO conference. It was played across three screens to a live audience of around 7000 people and live-streamed by millions around the globe. The numbers, drawn frame by frame, playfully transition to complement the rhythm of the drums.
The system of patterns designed to highlight the rhythm of the track. The louder the beat, the bolder the pattern displayed.
The film was projected at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in front of 20,000 people to kickstart the afternoon session of the Google I/O conference, introduced by Jason Titus.
