355 laser-cut beer cans helped create this hypnotic spot for Greene King to tell the mythic tale of their origin.

Conceptually bold and technically uncompromising as ever, Balázs & Cátia set out to transform a Greene King beer can into a 360° projector. Using replacement animation and long-exposure photography, they turned a projected light from inside the can into vivid animation. Each can was meticulously laser-cut using data from a bespoke raytracing system, which mapped the animation’s light path from the internal light source to the camera.
