Who’s ready for a Very pink Christmas? Director Paloma Baeza helped Very launch their new creative platform with the assistance of a few fabulous flamingos. Collaborating closely with The Gate, Paloma and her expert team introduced three new characters to the world: Kerry, Terry and Cherry. The key to creating characters that exude warmth, relatability, and playfulness was finding the right balance between anthropomorphism and authenticity, from the hair texture that strikes a delicate balance between human and feather-like qualities to capturing the perfect flamingo-like movement of each feather.

More pink-hued details

The incredibly detailed spot featured numerous bird-themed Easter egg moments, such as the local pub named ‘The Roost,’ and even the star on the Christmas tree is replaced with a tiny flamingo. Down to the smallest detail, such as the shrimp on a cup, there’s a nod to the distinctive pink of the flamingo’s coat. To transform the grey cityscape into a festive, pink wonderland, Paloma paid close attention to lighting, with pink rays illuminating snow-capped houses and a pink glow added to all new products showcased, reminding us that we too can transform ordinary experiences into something extraordinary.
