We’re taken deep inside the frozen tundra in this epic, myth-inspired music video for ODESZA and Ólafur Arnalds. Rooted in Inuit folklore, the film follows an ageing man on a final, transcendent journey where the line between natural and supernatural begins to blur.

Visually rich and emotionally resonant, the piece fuses motion capture, 3D animation, elements of puppetry and hand-drawn textures to stunning effect. Every frame was transformed into a painterly CG image through a bespoke rendering system. This custom pipeline calculated how light interacts with different materials, converting that behaviour into expressive brushstrokes that gave the film its otherworldly texture.
