MTV commissioned artist and director Nicolas Menard to re-interpret the iconic MTV ident. Working in collaboration with Manshen Lo, the duo hand painted 109 frames with gouache, before capturing each still under a rostrum camera, revealing the intricate detailed texture that each frame possesses.

The ident was also brought to life through the music composition by Kungen & Hertigen.
