In a first-of-its-kind experience for Gorillaz, the self-proclaimed music legend, Murdoc Niccals hosted a special Mixology Masterclass. In a live-stream to the world, the Gorillaz bassist provided a step-by-step guide to create his pickle-perfect creation: The Vodka Murdini, followed by a live Q&A with fans. As part of the True Originals Smirnoff and Gorillaz collaboration the Masterclass was creatively led by Jamie Hewlett and Fx Goby, Nexus’ Real-Time team used game engine technology, bespoke software, facial capture, inertial motion capture, and traditional animation tools, to support Murdoc’s charismatic live-stream.
