Together Builds Better
It takes a lot of hands to make a film about a lot of hands. Nexus Studios and Telstra join forces again to celebrate the power of working together in a handcrafted stop-motion world directed by Johnny Kelly. Made in collaboration with +61 and Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, Together Builds Better continues Telstra’s ‘Wherever We Go’ brand platform – shining a light on the many hands that support industries, transform communities, and connect Australia.
To bring that spirit to life, Johnny and the Nexus Studios team embraced the tactile charm of stop-motion puppetry, showing miniature worlds being crafted into existence, complete with the visible hands of animators shaping each scene. Backed by an original score from Casey Wescott (Fleet Foxes) and performed by Dave McCormack (Bluey), the story is carried by a hairy, guitar-playing narrator who strums through each vignette, from classrooms to factories.
