Alex Grigg visualised the comedian Trevor Noah’s thoughts on the weaponization of words, particularly in relation to safe spaces. Captured during a talk at the New York Times’ Get With The Times event, the thought-provoking short was part of WeTransfer’s creative series WePresent.

Inspired by the dramatic shapes used by Japanese designer Ikko Tanaka, Alex weaved symbolic characters and interesting representations of space throughout the short. This approach provided some lightness to divisive subjects including the NRA and KKK, creating an accessibility that allows Trevor’s message to be heard.
