Why go home when you can stay in paradise?

We collaborated with Carnival Cruise Line to transport audiences to Carnival’s newly announced Bahamian resort, Celebration Key. With Director, Conor Finegan at the helm, supported by a stellar crew made up of the Nexus Studios London team, agency, TBWA, the Mighty Nice champs in Sydney, our friends at Arch Model Studios and the shoot crew, Spectrum Films. The 30-second spot follows Flip, a carefree flip-flop who decides to extend her stay just a little bit longer. Poolside cocktails, gorgeous beaches and delectable food – Flip is living the dream.

The Nexus Studios’ team explored various approaches, from full CG to more complex character designs, before embracing an expressive live-action flip-flop with subtle 2D enhancements. Working with the incredible team at Arch Model Studios for Flip’s creation, multiple puppets were crafted, some for posing, others for movement, and of course, one that effortlessly… floated.
