Laurie’s first solo exhibition took place at the atmospheric Verwalterhaus gallery as part of Pictoplasma. Laurie experimented with new mediums, hand-crafting versions of his iconic characters to immerse visitors in an interactive, wonderfully playful world. The exhibition spanned three rooms and featured printworks, a tufted wallhanging, wooden sculptures and a lifesize recreation of Laurie’s ‘blue-man’ that viewers were invited to pose and play with.
