Fx Goby
Welcomed a new era for the world’s biggest animated band. Told the story of an idea via the evolution of animation for Google. Created one hell of a ride at CES and waved goodbye to a cultural icon with VW…
Fx’s multidisciplinary approach to filmmaking is evidenced in the playful diversity of his work from 2D and 3D animation to live action and everything in between. His psychedelic video for Gorillaz trended worldwide upon release and showed the band in super stylised 3D, while his series with the Scottish Ballet championed inclusivity and diversity on and off screen. An ongoing collaboration with dancer and fashion designer Saul Nash has seen his work feature in Vogue, Hypebeast and Nowness.
Fx’s short film, To Build a Fire, won the Oscar qualifying Grand Prix at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and he recently helped Volkswagen bid farewell to their most loved car in an emotionally charged rotoscope short and scooped up an Emmy-nomination for his immersive film Back to the Moon created with Google Doodles and Google Spotlight Stories.
