Told the story of an idea via the evolution of animation for Google. Took on a fearsome army of fire warriors and a dragon for a Coca-Cola Super Bowl spot. Recounted the tragic tale of a man and his dog trying to survive in the hostile and frozen wastes of the Yukon.
Fx’s bright, contagiously fun personality is reflected in the playful diversity of his work. Employing a wide range of techniques, including 2D and 3D animation, stop motion and live action mixed with vfx, his work includes commercials for global brands, quirky short films and dreamy music videos.
His short film, ‘To Build a Fire’, set the festival world alight, winning the Oscar qualifying Grand Prix at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, and for 2 years running he has created the charming animated films which introduce Google’s annual developer conference, Google I/O. Most recently Fx collaborated with Google Doodles and Google Spotlight Stories to co-direct the Emmy nominated ‘Back to the Moon’, which launched as the first VR enabled / 360 Google Doodle.
